Terms and Conditions
- CONTRACT Anglesey Self Catering (hereinafter referred to as ASC) arrange short term holiday rentals of Properties as agents of the Owners of the Properties. The contract is between the Owners of the Property and the Client. The contract will be entered into when ASC receives payment in full or by way of deposit from the client.
- PAYMENT A deposit of £100 or £50 is payable, if the booking is made more than 8 weeks before the start of the rental. The balance shall be payable 8 weeks before the commencement of the rental. Non-payment of the balance of the rent on or before the due date shall be construed as a cancellation of the contract by the Client. All monies shall be forfeited to ASC and the Client shall have no claim against ASC for compensation or reimbursement whatsoever. For bookings made less than 8 weeks before the commencement of the rental or for any short stay breaks the total fee is payable on sending the Booking Form (by email or post). All payments shall be made to P Burgess as detailed on the Booking Form.
- BOND The £100 bond if requested (paid in full before arrival and to be cleared funds prior to arrival) will only be held in full or part should damage, breakage or excessive cleaning be required to the apartment. Should the value of that damage, breakage or excessive cleaning be less than the value of the bond then the difference will be returned. Should the value of the damage, breakage or excessive cleaning be greater than the value of the bond then ASC shall claim the additional amount from the client. This shall be paid in full within 7 days of the claim by the ASC. Late payments will incur interest at 4% over bank base rate. Evidence of the damage, breakage or excessive cleaning required will be provided to the client if requested. If a bond is not requested the client is still responsible should damage, breakage or excessive cleaning be required to the apartment, payment for this shall be sent to ASC (by cheq made payable to P Burgess) within 7 working days of notification of damage, breakage or excessive cleaning and cost thereof. Where the booking has been paid by debit or credit card ASC reserve the right to deduct the damages directly from that credit or debit card without notification to the client. ASC will only ever ask for fair and reasonable reimbursement of the costs incurred to us.
- CANCELLATION Any cancellation made by the Client for whatever reason shall be in writing and addressed to ASC at the address at the top of the Booking Form. On receipt of notice of cancellation, ASC will seek to re-let the property for the period of the booking. If ASC succeeds in re-letting the property for the whole period, it shall refund all monies paid less an administration charge of £15 to cover costs. If ASC only succeeds in re-letting the property for part of the period booked it shall refund this amount only to the Client less the admin charge. If ASC is unable to re-let the property then all monies paid by the Client shall be forfeited to ASC and the Client shall have no claim against ASC for compensation or reimbursement whatsoever. Any refund will be made after the end date of the holiday. ASC strongly recommends the Client to take out Cancellation Insurance to protect against the cancellation penalty.
- CHANGE OF DATES ASC will consider a request from a Client to change the dates of the booking after confirmation has been issued. Agreement may be given if:
(1) The Property is available
(2) The request is received more than 8 weeks away from the booking and
(3) The Client pays an administration fee of £20 - VAT At the present time Anglesey Self Catering is not VAT registered.
- PERIOD OF HIRE Rentals commence, unless otherwise notified at 4.00pm on the day of arrival and terminate at 10.00am on the day of departure. No arrivals after 7pm unless special arrangements are made.
- NUMBER OF PERSONS USING THE PROPERTY and DUE CONSIDERATION. The number of persons occupying a property must not exceed the number stipulated on the booking form nor should the Client or any member of the client’s party abuse the property or display dangerous, offensive or rude behaviour to the Property Owner/caretaker or any third parties (e.g. neighbours). ASC can refuse the Client possession of the property or make the Client leave the accommodation before the end of the holiday. If this happens ASC shall treat the holiday as being cancelled by the Client and the Client shall have no claim against ASC for compensation or reimbursement whatsoever.
- COMPLAINTS Should there be any cause for complaint during the occupation of the Property it must be notified promptly to ASC and in case of serious problems confirmed in writing during the occupation. No complaints can be entered into after the holiday end date.
- BREAKAGES OR DAMAGE The Client is to report as soon as possible to ASC any breakages or damage caused by the Client during the holiday. The Client is bound to reimburse ASC for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs on demand. The Client is to notify all other members of the Client’s party of these conditions.
- CARE OF THE PROPERTY The Client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the Property and its furniture, pictures, fittings, utensils and effects in or on the Property and leave them in the same state of repair and condition and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning.
- PETS are not allowed in this property. If the Client books a property and then takes a pet to the property, the Property Owner/caretaker can refuse to allow the Client to take possession of the property or make the Client leave the accommodation before the end of the holiday. If this happens the Agent shall treat the holiday as being cancelled by the Client and the Client shall have no claim against the Agent for compensation or reimbursement whatsoever.
- SMOKING – All ASC Apartments are strictly non-smoking properties.
- LIABILITY As its employees and its agents shall not be under any liability to the Clients or third parties for any loss, damage or injury arising from breach of contract, negligence, and misrepresentation or otherwise. If the Property which the client has booked becomes unavailable or unusable for some reason prior to the date of a booking, then ASC, obligation will be to:
(1) use their best endeavor to find a suitable alternative property, or failing which,
(2) to reimburse the Client for any monies paid. - WARRANTIES ASC does not warrant and is not responsible for the accuracy of any verbal information given or statements made by its servants or agents.
- RIGHT OF ENTRY ASC or their agents shall be allowed the right of entry to the Property at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repair or maintenance.
